ISO Certification
OptiCal Sciences is currently certificated to the requirements of ISO 9001:2015 by Intertek Group PLC, which is accredited by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS). UKAS, as an accreditation body, works with other similar bodies around the world to ensure the standard of auditing is uniform and adequate. Our employees are known and respected industry wide; the collective years of industry experience within the team is probably second only to the instrument manufacturers themselves. OptiCal Sciences continually invests in training and the latest specialised test equipment.
History
The group consists of the UK based operation OptiCal Sciences Ltd and Irish operation, OptiCal Sciences (Ireland) Ltd, the latter being 80% owned by the controlling shareholders of OptiCal Sciences Ltd. OptiCal Sciences Ltd was established in 1996 by the present management as a result of the management buyout of the Service Department of the former Gelman Sciences Limited. OptiCal Sciences (Ireland) Ltd was established in 2003, when development and expansion in the Irish market required an indigenous sales and support operation. OptiCal Sciences Ltd (United Kingdom) acquired their own, larger building in 2018/2019 in order to accommodate the expanding business and growing customer base.
