OptiCal Sciences has invested in our Service Department to allow us to calibrate, service or repair most makes and models of Airborne and Liquid particle Counters, Aerosol Photometers and Generators and Microbial samplers to the latest standards, regulatory requirements and customer needs.
Customer Service
Our in-house and field service engineers ensure that we can offer the best in
reduced down time and expense for your critical equipment. With a collective
experience within the particle counting industry of over 56 years, our in-house
engineer combined with three field engineers can offer you the best in service.
Calibration Services
Optical Sciences are an authorised service centre for Climet, Pamas, ATI,
Kanomax and Concept range of instruments. Please contact our service department
for other manufacturers as we have experience and procedures for most models.
All calibrations are completed to ISO guidelines providing certification to
National and International Standards including the “As Found” data. The latex
particles used in the particle counter calibrations are traceable to National
Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), along with the calibration of test
equipment used in the calibrations which is also traceable to National
Standards.
We are now able to offer calibrations to the new ISO 21501-4:2007 airborne
particle counter calibration standard using our traceable reference counter for
the count efficiency test for first channel sensitivity.
Particle Counters
Optical Sciences head office is centrally located in Northampton so using our three field based engineers on-site calibrations reduce the down time of your instruments. If you decide to return your instruments to our well equipped workshop we offer a rapid turnaround, usually within 5 working days, and priority service is available on request.
Airborne
Full traceable calibration back to manufacturers' specification. Our engineers
are equipped with the latest portable test equipment which enables us to carry
out laboratory standard calibrations including the new ISO-21501-4 standard on
your site. As well as servicing the Climet and Kanomax range of counters, we are
able to calibrate most manufacturers units.

Liquid
Full traceable calibration back to manufacturers' specification. Our engineers
are equipped with the latest portable test equipment which enables us to carry
out laboratory standard calibrations including ISO-11171 (ISOMTD), ISO-4402
(ACFTD) Latex in Water and Parental Samplers USP qualification on your site. As
well as servicing the Pamas and Climet range of counters, we are able to
calibrate most manufacturers units.

Photometers
Optical Sciences had developed a portable aerosol generator so along with a
calibrated reference photometer and aerosol dilutor are able to carry out
on-site service and calibrations back to manufacturers’ specification on your
photometers. As well as servicing and calibrating the ATI and Virtis JM-9000
range of photometers, we are able to calibrate most manufacturers units.

Aerosol Generators
Fully trained engineers on the ATI and Concept range of generators can offer an
on-site service or using our validation test bench at our Northampton facility
we can also provide a certified mass output test. As well as servicing ATI and
Concept range of generators, we are able to calibrate most manufacturers units.

Microbial Samplers
Fully trained engineers on the Climet range of microbial samplers enables us to
calibrated a laboratory standard calibration at either the customer premises or
in-house.

Recalibration Reminders
Regular traceable calibration is essential for measuring equipment if accuracy is to be maintained. Remembering calibration dates is often a cause of trouble and concern, particularly when more than one instrument is used, as they may all have different calibration due dates and frequencies. In order to reduce this burden for the customer we provide a Recalibration Reminder Service whereby our service customers automatically receive a written reminder when any instrument is due for calibration.
