Alarm Status & Acknowledgement

The Alarm Status page shows alarms that have not yet been acknowledged. The background colour of the table cells have been defined as follows to indicate whether an alarm has been acknowledged:

No Alarms	Green
Unacknowledged Alarms	Red
Acknowledged Alarms	Blue

When a table cell is selected, the tag name, current value and its limits are displayed. If the tag is in alarm and the alarm has not yet been acknowledged, the "Acknowledge SELECTED Alarm" button becomes visible. As long as no one else is in the process of acknowledging an alarm, you will be able to click on this button go to the Alarm Acknowledgement page to provide a comment and your login details. Alternatively, the "Acknowledge ALL Alarms" button can be used to acknowledge all the alarms that are currently active and unacknowledged in the system. Clicking on the "Acknowledge ALL Alarms" button will take you to the Alarm Acknowledgement page from where you can provide a comment for all the alarms and your login details. The "Clear" button is used to clear the details of the selected point. Please note that the "Acknowledge SELECTED Alarm" and "Acknowledge ALL Alarms" buttons will be disabled if someone else is in the process of acknowledging an alarm.

When you click either the "Acknowledge SELECTED Alarm" or "Acknowledge ALL Alarms" button on the Alarm Status page, you will be directed to the Alarm Acknowledgement page. If you are acknowledging a selected alarm the selected tag, current value and it's limits will be displayed. At this stage you can provide an alarm comment and your login credentials and click on the "Acknowledge Alarm" button that appears to acknowledge the alarm or click on the Clear button to clear all fields and return to the Alarm Status page.

When you fill in the alarm comment and your login credentials and click on the "Acknowledge Alarm" button, an attempt will be made to acknowledge the alarm using your login credentials and you will be returned to the Alarm Status page. If you do not have enough credentials to acknowledge the alarm or the login details provided is in correct, the alarm will not be acknowledged and you will still see the cell background for the point in red. If the alarm acknowledgement is successful, the cell background will change to green if the tag value is within rage or blue if the tag value is still in alarm.
