Within the Clean Room environment it is important that not only that it has the correct refresh rate of air but also in a Non Laminair environment that there is no dead air.
One way to do this would to use a normal smoke generator however use of this type of instrument means that it you would have to clean the room after wards due to oil residue.
Airflow Visualisation Generators use either a Glycerin or Alcohol based mist which means they are better suited to use within the Clean Room.
