Aerosol Generators

OptiCal offer a range of Aerosol Generators for use with the Aerosol Photometer instruments for testing In-Situ HEPA filter testing.

Aerosol Generators can be broken down into two catergories.

  • HEPA Filter Testing
  • Air flow Visualisation

Generators used for HEPA filter testing are covered in the ISO 14644 pt 3 and also PD:6609 2007. These generators come in two types.

  • Thermal (Hot) Generators used for testing filters in Clean Rooms
  • Laskin (cold) Generators used to test smaller applications like Isolators and LAF Benches

Generators for Air Flow Visualisation are covered in ISO 14644 pt 2. These are used to check Recovery Rates and checking for Dead Air within the Clean Room.
